Villains Against Evil

NCAC

“Villains Against Evil” is part of a larger campaign focused on raising awareness about book banning and defending free access to diverse literature, especially stories addressing LGBTQ+ rights, racial issues, and other important social themes. By reimagining iconic fairy tale villains as defenders of free expression, the campaign challenges traditional ideas of who the “real villains” are.

The initiative encourages audiences and voters to reflect on how censorship impacts children’s education, using social media, video, and digital content to inspire awareness and action.

The project’s biggest challenge was combining multiple AI tools into one cohesive visual result. Since these technologies are still evolving, we had to creatively balance their strengths and limitations while working under a tight deadline.

Rather than hiding AI imperfections, we embraced them as part of the project’s visual identity. The slightly unusual facial expressions and movements created a distinctive, almost “JibJab”-like aesthetic that gave the films a unique personality.

The final result became a kind of “happy Frankenstein” — a creative mix of different AI tools working together to produce something original and engaging.
